Done that I've found the problem, i think its more php or openssl related. if php is compiled with openssl ( i compile php from source ) apache+ssl can't live with it. i droped that line from configure command and works as charm. ( by the way, the same problem acures with apache/modssl compiled from source, so i doubt it to be a port problem, more likely openssl problem) Using 5.3-RELEASE-p6 ( and p5 before - same problem ) if it can help.
