I now recognize that the preference selection for terminal at my isp is vt100 and that device vt0 line in my conf file is commented out. I guess that I have to rebuild the kernel with uncommented "device vt0 ... " , then set the environment variable TERM to vt100 . Is this correct ? Is there anything else ?
