Don't underestimate the slowness of a P3. I recently recompiled xorg and 
KDE on a 1GHz P3 box and what would have taken some 12 hours on my 
1.6GHz Centrino took more than three straight days there. I can well 
imagine OOo actually taking > 80 hours to build on such hardware.
