Could it be as fast as Cisco IOS??? Cisco IOS is not fast in itself....what cisco router you use will yield much different results. FreeBSD on a Pentium 133 will outperform a 4500 series generally...and dollar for dollar you cant compare a P200 with a 7500 series. A freebsd box with 4 T1s and a 100Mb/s will totally blow the doors off a 4500 series....routing 2 ethernets should be linearly comparable. Dennis
