I just tested here, with the CVS mirroring account I have at this workstation, by: * moving .bash_profile and .bashrc away * adding an 'echo' message in its .profile file: echo ".profile done" and when I su(1) to this account, the .profile is used by bash! gothmog# su - ncvs .profile done [ncvs@gothmog ~]$ echo $SHELL /usr/local/bin/bash [ncvs@gothmog ~]$
