I've just installed FreeBSD 2.1.7 on a 486 machine. I'm using an SMC ethernet card. The problem is I'm not connecting to my LAN. The card is recognized, I have the /etc/sysconfig and /etc/hosts files set in the manner suggested in some of the FAQs posted on the site, and I have connectivity with the hub, but I still get the "network is unreachable" messages on bootup. Is there something else I need to configure? Any responses will be a great help.
