I'm sorry, maybe I should have stated this more clearly in my original message. (The isdn4linux package has `isdnctrl hangup ippp0' for this.) > 2) a dial filter, which prevents further dial tries. Well, my original message contained the following: ,----- | Without link1, "ifconfig isp0 up" dials and "ifconfig isp0 down" hangs | up, but surely I'm not supposed to do "ifconfig isp0 down; ifconfig | isp0 up" for hanging up the phone with dial-on-demand? `----- Does this mean the answer to that last question is: `Yes, that's exactly what you should do.'? Okay. I'm surprised but that's okay. So, for hanging up the phone I'll do `ifconfig isp0 down; ifconfig isp0 up'. The latter is needed so that subsequent dial-on-demand attempts will work. kai -- I like _b_o_t_h kinds of music.
