According to the gphoto2 mailing lists the bug was fixed after the port was released. Unfortunately, there has not been a new gphoto2 release for nearly 5 months (and so the port is quite old as well). Subsequently I have tried to compile gphoto2 from cvs with no success. I can get it to compile, but when I run it I get I/O errors eventhough I have the latest libusb. When I compile from the port I can see the camera and get all of its --summary and such, I just can't get anything off of it. So, I feel confident that libusb is working and that I'm just doing something wrong during my compile of the cvs. My question: Has anybody successfully compiled and used the latest cvs of gphoto2/libgphoto2 under FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE, and if so, would you be willing to outline what you did to get things working? Thanks, Alex
