Date: Sat, 18 Nov 1995 09:54:38 +0200 From: Mark Murray Sender: owner-hackers@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Hi I have got a dual-personality crypt(3) going. Before I commit it, does anyone want to test it? This is a crypt that defaults to DES encryption, but will use MD5 if the salt begins with $1$. I also have modified passwd(1) to co-operate with this scheme - ie it will keep md5 encryption if it is present in your local password file. I have been using this for a week now. Who wants to test this before I commit? M -- Mark Murray 46 Harvey Rd, Claremont, Cape Town 7700, South Africa +27 21 61-3768 GMT+0200 Finger mark@grumble.grondar.za for PGP key
