Somehow my weird, twisted little brain thought that pkg was a Perl script, so the idea of a stack trace didn't enter said mind. But having done a make stage (obviously pkg would support staging...) I noticed that it is indeed a C program. I'm a C programmer myself, so tomorrow I'll see if I can produce a stack trace. And I'll also obviously try MG's patch to see if it fixes the problem. Moreover, I can check whether using GCC or Clang makes any difference. I used to think it couldn't possibly matter, but I recently found out (with some help from the Forums) that building security/tripwire fails with Clang but works with GCC. To be continued, AvW --=20 I'm not completely useless, I can be used as a bad example. --envbJBWh7q8WU6mo Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.22 (FreeBSD) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJSo5s6AAoJEAfP7gJTaCe8GUoQAMpF9L5/NMlfLQamso2bXgIn KO2qo5mYakr5LgdbN/mtRlTKbeMP27y+RNd46iyjAaOxxms9myC0yvXgfBEu+ltp QohJNdDTJPqMUVGHhkbEh38dWlYVX1bmb7SDyoa+16y39DaOOmRj/INdBXq9YqU/ m8NGlKduofqDxZn34crZnNZAUzo2clZ9ij42rt5QlO4dp+Fx5kOPxEsn2BhcicgZ DOloufNHy4Py2Xndk1hMt/zE1M87kx6MOWwpNn1uBDmgQyuJpc/8AhtcGyli6tIG jTbiTgmSiP7bYPlrPv+Lyv+f05Noz4tr9CychXW8lyIRGkkiKZYtvc2+DJ8GLc0E LhDes4gq+4s9A6cJubz5iFi8XezfJrbXe4A7dyUfee0cfKs273jv4sz+ZvySvEnH 4m6xUmFQB7eWai+bZqfo87cnJVVXn2NPJR3w72aPvq4t7o9jQ0KhcA5ljFgbAC53 y3bW08bSi3o8wfCbMX3GJfahkTGBtsc9/fYnM04w/8Troy8LHBVzNmM5/9owAQ6D nGY+KGgtof5+dc8M9/q1X6bnk9lS15a1zTObgPEvUFNpens76IKsYFuQ2F5zhuys hJsBnvaDcbIksUwo+zt1jxPHblyjLf/fYeVarTCz12IUT8mQF2Mp1gi3kjRR1GhI GRl/wXTj6GBwjzTTamST =tVze -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --envbJBWh7q8WU6mo--
