I got this working by symlinking nppdf.so in my netscape's plugins
directory to ${PREFIX}/Acrobat3/Browsers/intellinux/nppdf.so. Then, under
Preferences->Navigator->Applications, I created a new entry for
application/pdf, made sure "Plug In: nppdf.so" was selected and hit OK.

I'm using the netscape4-navigator.us port, but I don't think it should
really matter.
