People on this list usually use FreeBSD mailer, which is simple text based; therefore, e-mails written in HTML is hard for them to read. :) Even if you X doesn't not support your card, you can still have it probe for the settings, (i.e. refresh rate, RAM, RAMDAC speed, and so forth) or you can select generic.
