For some reason, make can't find m4. /usr/src/Makefile has: PATH= /sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin Is there something wrong with /usr/bin/m4 on your machine? Is the m4 you are using from your command line in a different directory (/usr/local/bin/ or /usr/local/sbin/)?
