Thanks to Hans the new USB is working flawless. I need some help with sound though. I have been reading the current maillists and searching google for a couple of weeks to fix the issue but I have had no luck. My situation is this, I have a Creative Labs SB Live 5.1 digital sound card (SB0220) but no sound. I don't know how to enable digital mode only. When I ran earlier versions of FreeBSD, I used the ports version of the driver and it worked great but after all the work everyone has put into the new base driver I wanted to test this. please help, here is my out put: fbsd7# sysctl -a | egrep 'snd|pcm' pcm0: on emu10kx0 pcm0: pcm0: on emu10kx0 pcm0: pcm0: on emu10kx0 pcm0: pcm0: on emu10kx0 pcm0: pcm0: detached pcm0: on emu10kx0 pcm0: pcm0: on emu10kx0 pcm0: hw.snd.latency_profile: 1 hw.snd.latency: 5 hw.snd.report_soft_formats: 1 hw.snd.feeder_buffersize: 16384 hw.snd.feeder_rate_round: 25 hw.snd.feeder_rate_max: 2016000 hw.snd.feeder_rate_min: 1 hw.snd.verbose: 1 hw.snd.maxautovchans: 4 hw.snd.default_unit: 0 dev.emu10kx.0._pcm_front_l: 100 dev.emu10kx.0._pcm_front_r: 100 dev.emu10kx.0._pcm_rec_l: 0 dev.emu10kx.0._pcm_rec_r: 0 dev.pcm.0.%desc: EMU10Kx DSP front PCM interface dev.pcm.0.%driver: pcm dev.pcm.0.%parent: emu10kx0 dev.pcm.0.eapd: 1 dev.pcm.0.buffersize: 65536 dev.pcm.0.vchans: 1 dev.pcm.0.vchanrate: 48000 dev.pcm.0.vchanformat: s16le fbsd7# cat /dev/sndstat FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm: 64bit) Installed devices: pcm0: on emu10kx0 (4p/1r/1v channels duplex default) fbsd7# cat /dev/emu10kx0 FreeBSD EMU10Kx Audio Driver Hardware resource usage: DSP General Purpose Registers: 32 used, 256 total DSP Instruction Registers: 52 used, 512 total Card supports AC97 codec, SBLive!
