To expedite this work, Dr. Love has adapted the build system of the FreeBSD Ports Collection (http://www.freebsd.org/ports). This has allowed the building of nearly 2000 packages for Darwin and Mac OS X (http://www.ptf.com/tdc/pkg_list). With the exception of language- specific (e.g., Japanese) items, these packages comprise the bulk of the 5000 items in the FreeBSD Ports Collection. We are working on setting up a download site for the packages and a CVS repository for the source code. Meanwhile, a snapshot of the results is available as a set of CD-ROMs (http://www.ptf.com/tdc). -r -- http://www.cfcl.com/rdm - home page, resume, etc. http://www.cfcl.com/Meta/md_fb.html - The FreeBSD Browser email: rdm@cfcl.com; phone: +1 650-873-7841 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
