But recompiling as cause seemed more possible to me in your case. Indeed it looks strange, but I also had some problems with xorg-server which (accidentally) ceased after recompiling of all ports (obviously including all x-related). I'm not using clang for ports here, because there is at least one port which isn't clang ready at all.
