Hmm.
I would guess that all you're really missing is the setting for a
log-file (that would be convenient to have, at least).  I would
suggest adding a line of:
	:lf=/var/log/lpd-errs-lp:

(with no trailing '\' !), assuming you don't remember what you used
to have for a logfile.
