ZFS uses UMA even for other things besides ARC and those are not controlled by vfs.zfs.zio.use_uma. Those zones also happen to be the most fragmented ones for me. To name a few: dnode_t, dmu_buf_impl_t, arc_buf_hdr_t. So the patch should help there. -- Andriy Gapon
