It still detects as a PS/2 Mouse. Partially related, but one thing that the HP EliteBook does is that they consolidate the pointing stick and the trackpad as one device. This seems to also happens with the EliteBook 840 G2 (https://wiki.freebsd.org/Laptops/HP_EliteBook_840_G2), with the 840 being tested by someone else.
