I'm trying to include /boot/loader to my picobsd floppy, my system is 4.2-STABLE updated 22 feb. I keep a copy of loader built with PicoBSD from FreeBSD 3.2-S, it's about 83kB. If I just copy it to floppy it works fine and loads kernel. But if I grab /usr/obj/usr/src/sys/boot/i386/loader/loader, do kzip on it, I obtain loader.kz which is about 87kB. It does not load kernel if I use it at /boot/loader. Instead, it says something like Uncompressing kernel... done Booting 0.00 After that strange '0.00' system halts. I understand a difference between 3.2 and 4.2. So, I wonder what is correct way to compress loader for 4.2? I cannot try not compressed loader, it does not fit. Meantime I use a copy of old loader from FreeBSD 3. Eugene Grosbein To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-small" in the body of the message
