In the Makefile has:

DEPRECATED=	requires legacy Gecko; switch to www/epiphany instead

The legacy Gecko has many security issues, so Galeon must be port to  
libxul or it is going to be removed. If I were you, I would move on to the  
different browser because Galeon is not great at keep up to date from the  
upstream.
