Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Greetings folks. I must admit, I am running up against a strange, and probably really obvious problem, however, after reading faq and handbook, the answer escapes me. If someone could be kind enough to either answer the question, or point me in the correct direction, I would appreciate it. I am trying to install the apache-fp port. It informs me on make that the DES Library must be installed, and to install the DES lib before making the port. I go into /stand/sysinstall and select custom installation, and then selecting custom distributions, then the DES distributions. I select the DES base distribution and the sources. When I click OK, it brings me back to the distributions menu? Isn't is supposed to continue the installation proceedure? I am in a jam here, and am probably missing something. But, I guess, what is the way to install DES after FreeBSD has been installed? Sorry for the lame question, but I am stuck. Thanks. Jeremy D.
