Hi, surely a newbie question: I'm running a Linux/Win95-box with recently four SCSI devices: Two 4Gig HDs (Id 1 + 3), a Toshiba-CD-ROM (Id 4) and an external DAT-drive (Id 6). The system runs with no problem using Adaptec 7890/aic7xxx-controler. Now I installed a new harddrive (IBM DDRS 34560 i.e. Ultrastar 9ES) with Id 2. Adaptec BIOS recognizes all drives (formatting and checking is possible) but booting with linux/debian 2.0.36-kernel crashes with (2:0:0) Parity error during command phase Adaptec-SCSCExplorer under Win95 not even could recognize the Ultrastar, but Windows runs without problems. Thanx in advance for any useful advice!!! Ciao... Volker To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe aic7xxx" in the body of the message
