The LAND bug is solved by getting the -stable version of sys/netinet/tcp_input.c from ftp.freebsd.org. the F00F fix for FreeBSD-2.2.5-RELEASE requires patches to the files sys/i386/i386/identcpu.c, sys/i386/i386/machdep.c, sys/i386/i386/trap.c. This fix was posted as recently as Thu, 4 Dec 1997 20:01:42 -0500 (EST) by Joe "Marcus" Clarke to the freebsd-questions mailing list with the subject "F00F diff on 2.2.2-RELEASE". A search of the freebsd mail archive should get you the patch, and I can send it to you if you need (but I want to spare the entire list the whole patch). --mark.
