Often, this is due to a better alternative having become available and/or the cessation of development on the existing port. In some cases, ports are marked for removal because they fail to build and install correctly from their sources, or otherwise fail in operation. The ports, and the reason and date that they have been scheduled for removal, are listed below. If no one has stepped forward before that time to propose a way to fix the problems (such as via a PR), the ports will be deleted. portname: devel/p5-MooseX-ChainedAccessors description: Accessor class for chained accessors with Moose maintainer: perl@FreeBSD.org deprecated because: Marked as depreciated upstream expiration date: 2013-11-27 build errors: none. overview: http://portsmon.FreeBSD.org/portoverview.py?category=devel&portname=p5-MooseX-ChainedAccessors portname: lang/perl5.12 description: Practical Extraction and Report Language maintainer: perl@FreeBSD.org deprecated because: Consider switching to a more recent version of Perl expiration date: 2014-02-14 build errors: none. overview: http://portsmon.FreeBSD.org/portoverview.py?category=lang&portname=perl5.12 portname: net-im/p5-POE-Component-Client-MSN description: POE Component for MSN Messenger maintainer: perl@FreeBSD.org deprecated because: Primary MSN Messenger service terminated 30 APR 2013 expiration date: 2013-10-31 build errors: none. overview: http://portsmon.FreeBSD.org/portoverview.py?category=net-im&portname=p5-POE-Component-Client-MSN If this problem is one that you are already aware of, please accept our apologies and ignore this message. Thanks for your efforts to help improve FreeBSD.
