It sometimes is and sometimes is not ;-) It is not when I run fdisk from a fresh MSDOS bootflop. It is when I run fdisk from the harddisk itsself. It is also when I boot MSDOS from floppy and use FIPS. I called Compaq today and they'll replace the disk... -Guido
