I have never done this, but I think you will have to give the second interface a netmask of 0xffffffff (255.255.255.255). If you get warnings in syslog about ARP messages arriving on the wrong interface (which is harmless in this situation), you can set the sysctl net.link.ether.inet.log_arp_wrong_iface=0 cheers, walter
