If I don't use the -alias switch ppp doesnt work at all (same symptoms as my "freezing" problem, no communcation with remote machines). It does dial, etc, but no communcation. When ppp does start, it says it is using interface tun0. Is this correct, or should it be using ppp0? Also, I don't think this is an isp problem; ive been using this isp for a long time and have never had this problem before. -ben On Mon, 31 May 1999, James A.
