The problem went away. Well, a make clean in /usr/src-land cured the problem. I think I really had some out of date kernel libs lying around. What about cleaning these libs when doing a make clean in the /sys/compile/GENERIC directory ??? Several make cleans didn't help I had to make a make clean in /usr/src/sys.... Perhaps a good suggestion for 2.1 ? Thanks for your help !
