I wonder if the adaptec 2904CD and 2906 scsi cards are supported by the aic7xxx driver under linux? My trouble comes from the fact I wasn't able to find on which chipset is based the 2906 card from the adaptec web site. Moreover I didn't find the 2904CD on the adaptec Web site but I just saw it last saturday (may be the vendor mispelled teh reference?!??) I wonder if I should buy one of this SCSI card for my external CD-RW Recorder (Yamaha 4416S). I already have a 2940UW with one wide external scsi disk attached and I read that it wasn't a good idea to mix wide (the disk) and narrow (the CD-RW) external devices on the same line? (I don't want to put the CD-RW on the narrow internal connector of the 2940). Anyone knows more informations about thoses cards?
