Should I install 4.8 to get the latest or do 4.7 first as it has more CDs and then upgrade with 4.8? What is a newbie to do? You only need the first CD to load FreeBSD. The additional CDs contains additional ports that you may want to load at a later date. If you have a fast internet connection they are not needed as you will load the latest versions of the ports directly from the internet. Regards Kjell
