Hi, I can tell what the basic problem is, but I've never installed this way so I don't know which file. Your checksum error tells you that there is either a corrupted file or a file that is "not complete". Assuming you ftp'ed these you have one file that did not transfer correctly or completely Michael G. ---------- From: el_kay[SMTP:lkynex@sprynet.com] Sent: Wednesday, December 10, 1997 5:08 AM To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Subject: Installation Prob. Well, I've tried to get FreeBSD to install from files on my DOS partition, but.... I get this error half way thru installing the bin files. /usr... /usr/libexec/uucp /usr/libexec/cpp /usr/libexec/cc1 /stand/cpio:invalid header:checksum error What do I do? I don't know what this is so... thanx again...
