Ok, nobody's diving in with general recommendations, so let's move on
to specifics...
For a mailing list, Majordomo seems to be the most popular solution.
("Everyone else is doing it!")
For a mail server, cyrus and imap-uw look interesting.
Anyone have any experiences, pro or con, with any of those?
