On Linux I'm using a xorg.conf, as well as a script based upon
xrandr, which is also provided by FreeBSD ;).

Important note: I prefer a script over a GUI [1], because we could write
a script to work around issues ;)!

I'm using a LCD and CRT dualhead setup on demand for different
purposes, the script not only handles X related settings, but als
wallpaper and panel settings.

[1] I'm using a WM without a DE, this and that I'm using X on Linux
shouldn't make a difference.
