- Run a test by installing Apache on both Linux and FreeBSD 
- Make a rational decision on whether you pefer Linux or FreeBSD.


Personally I would perfer to :-

-Run FreeBSD as a web server etc
-Run Linux with KDE (but I have both Linux and FreeBSd running KDE)

Or

You might work in a Linux environment and you can :-

-run FreeBSD at home
-run Linux for work


Or

Do what you think you are familar with (FreeBSD or Linux)
and stick to whatever you are familar with for business.
