When I was in Tokyo, I was shown a Toshiba libretto running FreeBSD and the control software for it (which I believe used Tk for the interface) by Konica's representative. A surprisingly freebsd-friendly company for a change! :) Wish I could remember the make and model of the film scanner, but perhaps some of our japanese members can comment on it.
