The device st0 is recodnize but when I run dump 0 /dev/rst0 I get this: DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Fri Nov 15 11:05:42 1996 DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch DUMP: Dumping /dev/rst0 to /dev/rmt8 DUMP: bad sblock magic number DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted. Or if I type tar cf * I get: tar: can't write to /dev/rst0 : Input/output error Do I need to format the tape? If so how do I do that. Please help me. Thank you, Lior Elazary elazary@netlimited.net
