Well, If you're using the standard Windows FTP client you need to look at getting a different one, it dosen't support automatic downloading. The Native freebsd FTP deamon does though, just hit the letter a instead of y. :) Look at Leechftp, it's free, it easy to setup, it does automatic downloading, and it automatically detects binary or asci types.
