But then the load= ing of some other module subsequently (which might be zfs.ko or vboxnetflt.ko or maybe something else) somehow causes an unexpected call back into the amdgpu code. I have no idea how. The current situation: 1. zfs.ko is loaded from /boot/loader.conf. 2. I always boot into single user mode. 3. The last few times, I had kld_list=3D"amdgpu.ko" in my /etc/rc.conf, but= for now I'm taking it back out. 4. So I'm loading amdgpu.ko manually in single user mode and then waiting t= en seconds or so before going multiuser.
