I have used Fips to create another 10 MB free partition, I can find no way to get Freebsd to recognize that as a swap area. [. Fdisk doesn't let me set anything, and the area doesn't even show up on disklabel. I am sure it is just one little option I have missed. Thanks for any help. Andy
