Hello,
I've been having problems with make world. I looked up some old
posts to fix one problem (a bus error) but now even after
' cd /usr/obj; chflags -R 0 . ; rm -rf *;' and ' cd /usr/src; make
clean; make clean'. when I run 'make build world' it runs for about an
hour and then terminates with an out of memory error.
My system is a Tekram P5MVP-A4 with the VIA MVP3 chipset, and an
AMD K6-2/350. It has 80mb of 60ns EDO ram, and freeBSD has a 2.0 gig
partition. I have set 169mb for the swap drive. I'm running FreeBSD
3.0-Release that was installed from a Cheapbyes CD, and I've run cvsup
with the RELENG_3 tag.
Is there anything I've done wrong that makes it run out of memory? Or
is my system just not capable or running the make world?
Thanks
Ken R
