The AHA-2930U2 is _NOT_ supported in the stock 2.0.36, but it is a
AHA-2940U2W with removed UW port, but same electronic. After
informations I found in the german computer magazin "c't", when you
change the line

#define PCI_DEVICE_ID_ADAPTEC2_2940U2   0x0010

in linux/include/linux/pci.h to

#define PCI_DEVICE_ID_ADAPTEC2_2940U2   0x0011

and recompile the kernel, the card should work.
