Hi all: I'm having a problem with adding the port mysql-server-3.23.38.tgz on 4.3-STABLE. I get the following error: su-2.04# pkg_add mysql-server-3.23.38.tgz Sorry, the host 'jason-n3xt' could not be looked up. Please configure the 'hostname' command to return a correct hostname. If you want to solve this at a later stage, restart this script with the --force option pkg_add: command '/usr/local/bin/mysql_install_db' failed Added group "mysql". Added user "mysql". chown: /var/db/mysql: No such file or directory pkg_add: install script returned error status I checked hostname to see if it was correct: su-2.04# hostname jason-n3xt.org The only thing I can think of is it resolves "jason-n3xt.org" then tries to reverse lookup the IP which does not return "jason-n3xt.org". Anyone have any ideas? ---- Jason P. Halbert jason@jason-n3xt.org To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
