I own and use some non ANSI terminals - they can't support colors. In any way if I want to use the feature without type this flag everytime I would make it an alias which I would set in my login script depending on the type of terminal, ... In my opinion it would be better if it doesn't do anything strange in the case that the terminal doesn't support color or support it differently even if the parameter is given. I'm really brandmarked in those ANSI-color Stuff. I once decided to go out to a Unix-meeting only with a terminal and a serial cable. Unfortunately the one that was able to give me access was a linux user. It was awfull to see that color crap nearly everywhere even on the login :( -- B.Walter COSMO-Project http://www.cosmo-project.de ticso@cicely.de Usergroup info@cosmo-project.de To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
