Well finally got some time to try this out and I can not make it fail. Boot messages for my card are: wi0: mem 0xe8001000-0xe8001fff irq 10 at device 12.0 on pci0 wi0: 802.11 address: 00:05:5d:da:60:c9 wi0: using RF:PRISM2.5 MAC:ISL3874A(Mini-PCI) wi0: Intersil Firmware: Primary 1.00.05, Station 1.03.04 So it looks like the DWL-520 doesn't have this problem.
