Problem appears only when many CPU cores are available: On 8 cores system r= uns fine. On 12 or more systems becomes unstable and often completely unrespons= ive. Initial OS installation process (from boot CD) is also affected. On installed system degradation starts somewhere after the message "Timecounters tick every 1.000 msec" is printed. Strange top screenshot is attached. dmesg: Copyright (c) 1992-2017 The FreeBSD Project.
