Andriy guess seems probably to me.  The mentioned code needs another look f=
rom
this perspective.

What I can't understand though is how the symlink paths are getting into the
pool metadata if in your pool creation command I see `readlink $i`?  As I
understand it supposed to pass "/dev/mdX" to `zpool create`.  And Pawel's p=
atch
would block anything not starting with "/dev/".  Is theer chance you've cre=
ated
some pool without readlink before 11.2?
