It is always the same non-root user. The user can login without consequence. Once the user logs out, the 'normal' kde login screen appears without any alert. The alert only appears when kde is started at boot time, and is always for the same user. 1. Why does this happen? 2. How can I verify the authentication of a particular user to identify any 'issue'? 3. If the user can login why is there an issue at all? I imagine this is a PAM thing, and have searched high and low. Obviously the system still runs ok, but something has caused this to appear suddenly and it is just one of those things tht drives one nuts! Any and all advice is appreciated.
