thank you everyone who replied to me about the scanner, i got it working using sane. but only as root user. does anyone have any suggestions how to get it running for normal users? i tried to chown and chmod /dev/pass4 but it didnt help. I am planning to use it through X session exported to windows box (which works fine under root, or sudo'ed to root in the session itself), but as normal user it says no devices found. any help? thank you very much To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
