Synopsis: 5.3-beta6 doesn't boot

State-Changed-From-To: open->closed
State-Changed-By: marcel
State-Changed-When: Tue Nov 2 06:29:18 GMT 2004
State-Changed-Why:
The PR describes the typical case of not using a serial console or
not having the serial console setup correctly. Given that the box
does not create the DIG64 HCDP table, there's no other way to tell
the kernel which serial port to use than setting the hw.uart.console
variable.
